The discovery of Jirachi!
Deep in the far regions of space, A star prepares
to rocket across the sky. Quite coincidentally, Jirachi made its resting spot inside that same star. As the star hurdled across
Earths atmosphere, Jirachi had an uneasy sleep. It still managed to get its rest, though. Meanwhile, a nearby airplane was
making its way to Johto for the monthly tour. All of the passengers were excited about the trip since they were all from Hoenn.
Suddenly, something hit the plane with a loud crash. All of the passengers felt the plane rumble, and looked out the window
to figure out what it was that shook them up. They saw nothing except for a strange, glowing hunk of rock. It just happened
to be the star. On its way across the sky, it seemed to have hit the airplane. That caused it to change its course, now heading
straight for the ground. Jirachi inside, was very displeased. It had gotten very little sleep, and for that it was cranky.
It gathered the psychokinetic powers inside its little star-shaped body, and released it with such great force that it made
the star explode! The little thing was all tuckered out, it couldnt move. It needed rest. It had just enough energy to levitate
itself right above the ground to save it from getting hurt. There, it decided to lay down. It then slept there, hidden within
the bushes. Meanwhile, in Oldale Town, an 11 year old boy named Kyo was doing his grocery shopping. Hm, lets see He looked
at the list, which was written on a piece of paper. Eggs, Milk, Cerewha? The wind picked up and blew the list away. Oh, man!
I gotta catch it! Kyo ran toward the list, trying to catch up with it. Come back! By the time he had caught up with it, the
piece of paper had blown onto a tree branch. A high tree branch. Aaargh! Kyo had trouble climbing that tree. Now Ill never
remember what groceries I need to get! Hey! Whats that on the ground? He saw what looked like a blue sticky note. All right!
Now I can go shopping without forgetting what to buy! He went over and saw that the sticky note had nothing written on it.
So, Kyo took a pen out of his pocket and wrote down all of the things he needed. When he finished, the sticky note moved!
Aaaaaah! Kyo screamed. Haunted sticky note! But it wasnt haunted. But it did shake the bushes. Or, at least something did.
Kyo watched in awe as a Pokemon he had never seen before popped out of the bushes. Who are you? Kyo asked. Ji? it replied.
Who? Kyo asked again Jirachi! Ah, Kyo said. So your name is Jirachi. Jirachi looked at the blue sticky note on its head. It
closed its eyes and the words on the note started to glow a neon green. Ji! The words disappeared and everything that Kyo
wrote on the note appeared right in front of him. Wow! He was amazed! Jirachi, youyoumade my groceries appear right in front
of me! Thank you! Jirachi blushed. Ji!
Deoxys Is Born!
During the process of studying the different plant types, a
scientist stumbled across a piece of the star that Jirachi had been in. He took out his hi-tech Virus-DNA recognizer and checked
the star piece. Amazing he said. This piece of star seems to have some sort of alienated DNA attached to it. I had better
keep it in this container so that it cannot cause any harm. He took a pair of tweezers from his pocket, picked up the star
piece, and dropped it into the container. Once he was done, he headed back to his research facility to show his discovery
to his fellow scientists. Once he reached the facility, he immediately took the star piece out of his container. Fellow scientists,
he announced. I have discovered what no other has discovered. Behold, this star piece! I checked it, and it has alien DNA
attached to it. I say we experiment on these DNA cells and see where they originate from. Everyone started to examine the
star piece. All experiments proved negative. No finds. No nothing. But one scientist didnt give up. Sir, Im going to expose
the DNA to the gamma rays and see what reaction it has. Is that okay?
Yes, fine
The scientist pulled the switch to send off the gamma rays.
Afterward, all that could be seen was very bright flashes of light, all different colors. When the gamma process was finished,
everyone looked into the room through a clear, glass wall. It looked like a human shaped figure was inside, just standing.
Oh myCheck the Photos, we must have left somebody in there! one of the scientists shouted.
Ive checked all photos, nothing but the star piece was in there!
Well, then what is that thing?

The figure inside the other room looked like it was covering
its ears, in pain. Look, everyone! one of the scientists shouted. It lives! Lets see if it can communicate! The scientist
asked the figure a question. What is your name? The figure looked up, confused. Myname? it said in a deep voice. Yes, yes,
your name. the scientist was getting a little shaky.
Whatis a name?
You know, what people call you. Your name?
Whatare people? Im confuseda nameYou wantto give mea name?
The scientists looked around. What should we name it? Hm Uh,
ah, yes! I know! Doexys, short for Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA. All of the scientists agreed. This will be a great undertaking
in scientific history! one of them said. Deoxys overheard what the scientists were saying and asked, What is science? It no
longer mumbled, but instead actually spoke. Why, you are, Deoxys! one of the scientists replied. We made you from an alien
DNA particle we found from a star. Deoxys sat there, snce it couldnt yet walk. Am I a person, like you? it asked. Well, the
scientist explained. We think you are a sort of Pokemon, but we arent yet sure. Your physical structure is like that of a
human, but also like a Pokemon . Well, whatever you are, you sure are friendly! Deoxys smiled, making the scientist happy
too.
